When Blue Monkeys Productions asked me to help making Kaltura's virtual event for the most influencial content companies in the world, we had to overcome several challenges. Every shot in the 20 minute educational video had to be fully scripted and yet it had to give a vibe of a live breaking news broadcast. Every shot included decistion making about color, 3D elements and movement that was carefully researched and produced to invoke interest and help keep the audience engaged throughout the movie. Since we used a lot of 3D elements the directing involved invisioning the final results and telling the presenter in each shot what is actually going to happen around him after post.
